- Cookies and Storage: We use cookies and browser storage, including local storage and session storage, to maintain sessions, remember preferences, support referral tracking, measure engagement, and operate the Service.
- Metrics and Analytics: We record metrics so we can understand how users engage with the Service and so eligible businesses can understand aggregated activity related to their listings.

We do not currently use advertising networks or sell personal information. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features of the Service may not function properly without them.
4. Analytics and Metrics
Cleann maintains analytics and metrics systems for internal, operational, and customer-facing purposes.
- Internal Analytics: We collect and analyze technical information, performance logs, page events, click events, API response metrics, and error information to monitor system reliability, detect issues, improve functionality, and understand product usage.
- Business Metrics: We collect engagement and usage data, such as listing views, clicks, referrers, and interaction events, to provide aggregated insights to service providers. When metrics include technical data like IP addresses, user agents, device identifiers, or approximate location, that data is hashed, anonymized, aggregated, or otherwise limited before being made available to businesses.
- Third-Party Analytics and Tag Management: We may use third-party analytics and tag-management tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to measure site and product usage, understand traffic sources, evaluate feature performance, and improve the Service. These tools may collect or receive information such as page views, event data, device/browser information, approximate location, referrer, and cookie or similar identifiers. We do not use these tools to sell personal information or participate in advertising networks.
- No Cross-Site Advertising Network Participation: Cleann does not currently use analytics data to participate in third-party advertising networks or behavioral advertising campaigns.
5. Artificial Intelligence, Matching, and Automated Processing
Cleann may use automated systems, machine learning, or artificial intelligence tools to operate and improve the Service. These tools may help classify quote requests, suggest service categories, rank or match providers, evaluate request fit, detect abuse, summarize information, moderate content, or generate internal guidance.
Information processed for these purposes may include request text, business profile data, reviews, service areas, location or ZIP code, message context, platform activity, and other information relevant to the feature. We use these systems to support platform operations and user-facing features, but matching or automated output does not guarantee provider quality, availability, suitability, price, or outcome.
6. How We Share Information
We share personal information only when necessary to operate the Service, provide requested features, communicate with users, protect the platform, or comply with law.
We may share limited information with:
- Other Users and Businesses: Quote request details, messages, estimates, contact context, awards, reviews, and related information may be shown to the consumers, businesses, or invited participants involved in the relevant request or interaction.
- Service Providers: We use third-party providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, infrastructure, data storage, payment processing, analytics, tag management, bot protection, email delivery, SMS delivery, mapping, address validation, search, AI processing, and customer support tools. These vendors are expected to process information for the services they provide to us.
- Communication Services: We use trusted third-party platforms to send legitimate communications, including account emails, review requests, quote request notices, SMS messages, notifications, invitations, and administrative messages. We strictly prohibit use of Cleann for spam, harassment, or unlawful bulk unsolicited messages.
- Payment Providers: We share information with payment providers such as Stripe to process subscriptions, connected accounts, payment settings, webhooks, billing portal access, and related payment functions.
- Analytics Providers: We may share event and usage information with analytics and tag-management providers, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand and improve the Service.
- Legal and Security Purposes: We may share information when required by law, legal process, or government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of users, businesses, the public, or the platform.
- Business Transfers: If we merge, sell, finance, reorganize, or transfer part or all of our business, user data may be included as part of that transaction, subject to applicable protections.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Communications, SMS, Email, and Opt-Outs
If you provide a phone number, email address, or other contact information, we may use it to send transactional, security, account, policy, support, quote request, review request, or service-related communications. Message and data rates may apply for SMS.
Where communications are optional or marketing-related, we provide opt-out or preference-management mechanisms where required or appropriate. Transactional, security, policy, or service-related communications may still be sent where permitted by law.
We may retain communication records and metadata, including delivery logs, opt-out events, message identifiers, timestamps, and failure reasons, for operations, compliance, fraud prevention, and support.
8. Data Retention and Security
We retain user, business, communication, policy-consent, billing, quote request, review, analytics, and operational data as long as necessary to operate the Service, provide features, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate business purposes.
Data related to inactive accounts may be anonymized, aggregated, archived, or deleted after a reasonable period, subject to legal, security, audit, or operational needs.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
